New build · Garmin Approach R50 · SIM 3 bay
Your golf room, designed before the walls go up.
Golf at one end, pilates at the other, and a plan to get from a 12 handicap to single figures. Here are three complete rooms sized to your 4 × 6m, with every cost on the table and the one I'd build for you marked.
That's the Garmin Approach R50 room I'd build, ready-filled at £7,317.99. Each room below has its own basket.
Your room — 4 × 6m, drawn to scale
Your space
Your space: 4 × 6m
Drawn to your measurements: 4m wide, 6m long and 3m high — Garden cabin being built, 4m wide x 6m long x 3m high inside; golf at one end, pilates at the other.
Worth sorting before it arrives
For the projector and the R50, plus one by the hitting area.
The 10m HDMI cable carries the picture from the launch monitor or PC up to the projector. Your electrician can hide it in conduit or trunking.
A darker room gives a sharper picture.
And 8cm either side, so the screen can give with each shot.
Your room in 3D — tap any item for details
A to-scale render of your 4 × 6m room with the SIM 3 bay, the Garmin Approach R50 and the projector in place. Every dot opens the product and its price.
Please note
A render, not a photo: it shows the kit to scale in a plain room. Doors, windows and finishes are not drawn.
In every room
The kit every room shares
Whichever you choose, you get the complete room. Only the launch monitor changes.

The enclosure
See the build quality for yourself
The SimSpace rooms on this page are built inside a SimSpace enclosure. Watch the frame close up, see it come out of the box and go together, then see one finished and in use.

The decision
Three complete rooms, compared
Each is itemised, priced live today, with its own basket.
The Square Golf room
The value pick — camera accuracy without the price tag
The Garmin Approach R50 room
The self-contained pick — built-in screen, no PC required to start
The Uneekor Eye Mini Lite room
The serious-practice pick — pro-grade camera data, sensible money
Why I'd build the Garmin Approach R50 room
The self-contained pick — built-in screen, no PC required to start. It fits your 4 × 6m room in a SIM 3 bay, with nothing needed behind the ball.
The trade-off: Projected course play at its best still wants a gaming PC and GSPro — the built-in screen is the starting point, not the ceiling.
What I've assumed
Built around best value kit with room to upgrade — tell Tom your budget and he'll tailor it.
Standard 4K screen shown — with windows near the screen, ask Tom about the UltraMAX grey upgrade for daylight use.
You'd like the projector on the ceiling. The rooms are priced with the floor case; I can swap it for the ceiling mount (£39.99) and take the case off, and I'll confirm the new total with you.
You have a gaming PC with an RTX 4070, which runs GSPro well. The Square Golf and Uneekor cards still include the gaming laptop (£1,750.00); tell me and I'll take it out of those baskets.
The room is drawn for a right-handed golfer, as you said.
No gaming PC needed: the Garmin Approach R50 runs the simulator itself.
If any of that's wrong, tell me and I'll redraw it.

| Games & multi-sport | Golf only. Other sports need an add-on such as the TruGolf ARCADE, plus a PC |
Garmin Approach R50: Club data needs the reflective stickers supplied with the R50, one on each club face. Ball data works without them. All shot data, impact video and driving-range practice are included. A Garmin Golf membership adds course play, practice on those courses, the weekly tournament and cloud video storage. Ball data is its strength. In independent tests, club data was less consistent, with some missed reads and angle of attack the weakest.
Your goal
From 12 to single figures
You said you're "trying to get to single figures", mostly through practice with real data. Each room gives you the numbers; how you use them is where the shots come off.
A session hitting ten balls with each club gives you a carry distance you can trust on the course, and shows the gaps in your bag.
Pick three targets and hit to them. Distance control with the wedges is where most strokes go between 12 and single figures.
Club path, face angle and face to path show whether a miss is the face or the swing. The R50 measures all three, with impact video of every strike.
The driving range needs no membership. Course play is the subscription listed on each card, worth having once the practice is in.
Picture quality
1080p or 4K: what you'll actually see
The picture is only as sharp as the weakest link: what draws it (the launch monitor or a PC) and the projector. Impact screens sold as “4K” have a finer weave that shows a sharp picture cleanly, but the resolution itself comes from the projector and what feeds it.
Garmin R50 on its own
The R50 runs its courses itself and sends the picture over HDMI at up to 1080p. A 1080p short-throw projector is the right match. A 4K projector would only upscale the same 1080p picture.
Garmin R50 with a gaming PC
Connect the R50 to a gaming PC running GSPro or E6 Connect and the PC draws the picture. With a 4K-capable PC and a 4K projector, that's true 4K. GSPro needs its own licence.
PC-run launch monitors
Foresight, Full Swing and similar units run on a PC, so the PC and projector set the picture. A 4K PC and a 4K projector give true 4K; a 1080p projector gives 1080p.
Is 4K worth it? It's sharpest on a big screen viewed up close, and for films or TV on the same projector. For golf on an R50, 1080p is the natural match.
Worth adding
Extras worth considering
Optional, each with its own one-tap basket.

The courses
Courses: play Augusta, Pebble Beach and 43,000 more
Home Tee Hero comes on the R50 and plays on your projector over HDMI.

Home Tee Hero on the Garmin R50
Built into the R50, on its own 10" screen or your projector. More than 43,000 courses, with fifteen rebuilt in higher detail:
Course play needs a Garmin Golf membership, £8.99 a month or £89.99 a year. Fifteen courses are rebuilt in higher detail with mapped green contours. Augusta National is the course layout, not official Masters branding.

Golf and pilates
One cabin, two uses
You said "golf at one end, pilates at the other". At 6m long the cabin takes both: the golf end needs about 4.2m from the screen wall, which leaves about 4 × 1.8m at the far end.
The SimSpace SIM 3 on one 4m end wall. It's only 1.5m deep, which is what keeps the far end free.
About 4 × 1.8m of clear floor on the cabin's own floor, so a mat lies flat. A mat fits laid across the cabin. If you're thinking of a reformer, tell me its size and I'll check it on the plan.
Every launch monitor on this page sits beside the ball, so the floor behind your swing stays open.
A ceiling track and curtain across the cabin at about 4.2m would close off the golf end. It's a job for your cabin builder, and easiest to fix before the ceiling is finished.
Your cabin
What to tell your builder
Your cabin is being built now, so these are cheap to get right before the walls and ceiling are finished.
At least 3.86m across the screen wall, measured inside the lining and insulation. The SIM 3 is about 3.7m wide outside, with 8cm clear each side. Your 4m works, with about 14cm to spare, so it's worth keeping the lining thin at that end.
Keep 3m clear over the golf end, with no beams or tie bars below 2.7m. The enclosure is 2.5m tall and the rest is swing room.
A solid fixing point, such as a noggin between joists, about 1.9m out from the screen wall on the centre line. I'll confirm the exact point with you before it goes in.
A fused spur or socket at the projector point on the ceiling, a double socket near the hitting area for the launch monitor, and one where your PC will sit.
A conduit from the hitting area and the PC position up to the projector point, with a draw cord left in, so the HDMI cable (4K HDMI 2.1 cable (10 m) below, £29.99) can be pulled through later.
Keep them off the screen wall if you can, and fit blinds on any near the screen. Daylight on the screen washes out the picture.
Even light over the hitting area for the launch monitor's cameras, kept off the screen, ideally dimmable.
At the golf end for the hitting mat, and insulation with some heating, so the electronics and screen aren't sitting in a cold, damp cabin over winter.
Good WiFi or a network point at the PC, for course downloads and updates.
