Good news — your instincts are right on almost every count, and where they aren't, I'll say so plainly. Every cost is on this page, including the software subscriptions most quotes leave out.
3.4m × 3.9–4.2m × 2.7m — it works, measured to your drawing
The driver question — you're right to flag it, and here's the honest answer
Manufacturers quote 2.8m as the safe minimum ceiling and 3m as ideal; you have 2.7m, minus about 4cm once you're standing on the mat. That rules nothing out — plenty of golfers up to around 6ft swing a driver comfortably under 2.7m, especially with a flatter swing — but I won't promise it sight unseen.
The 30-second test before you spend a penny: stand where the mat will go, take your driver, and make slow, full-height rehearsal swings, gradually building speed. If the head never threatens the ceiling at the top, you're fine. If it's tight, you still lose almost nothing: 3-wood off a tee gives you 90% of the driver picture, and both launch monitors on this page measure real ball flight, so every other club in the bag is completely unrestricted. Your ultra-short-throw question — the straight answer
A true UST projector sits 30–50cm from the wall it lights. Against an impact screen, that puts a £1,500+ projector inside the ball-strike and bounce-back zone, and because the screen billows on every strike at that distance, the picture visibly warps shot after shot. It's the one place I'd steer you away from what you asked for.
The setup that actually works in rooms like yours — and what's priced above — is a short-throw projector in an armoured floor case: it fills your 3m screen from about 1.6m out, sits low and off the swing line between you and the screen, and the case shrugs off the mis-hit that will eventually find it.
