Bay size guide
Sizes are width × height × depth of the enclosure itself. Plan a room at least 3.0m wide, 2.7m high (3m or more is ideal) and 4.2m long (4.3m for SIM 5 and 6; 2.8m for the 1m-deep SIM 0), with 30cm behind the screen and 8cm clear each side of the frame.

The GC3 is a portable photometric launch monitor built on the same three-camera core as Foresight’s tour-proven GCQuad. It captures the ball at the moment of impact rather than tracking it downrange, which is why photometric units are the accuracy benchmark indoors. A built-in screen shows your numbers on the unit; it runs indoors or out, on a battery.

The trade-off
The GC3 needs a Windows PC or laptop to run Foresight Premier, GSPro or E6 on the big screen. If you want to switch on and play with no computer, the Garmin R50 does that on its own screen.
What it costs to run
Nothing for your data: core ball and club data is free on Foresight+. Course play on Foresight Premier comes with a 30-day Foresight+ trial, then costs from $494 a year (Silver $199 plus Course Pass $295). GSPro ($250 a year) or E6 also need Foresight+ Gold ($599 a year). The only extra most buyers add is a gaming PC or laptop if they don’t already have one — the full breakdown is below.

The questions everyone asks
What ceiling height do I need?
2.7m is the minimum for a full driver swing, and 3m or more is ideal. The SIM 0 to SIM 4 bays are 2.5m tall; SIM 5 and SIM 6 are 3m tall and need a ceiling of at least 3.1m. If you’re between those numbers, a few full driver swings in the room will settle it — or send us a video and we’ll tell you.
Do I need a PC or laptop?
Yes, for the big screen. Foresight Premier, GSPro and E6 run on a Windows PC or laptop connected to the projector. Add one from the extras above or use your own; the GC3’s built-in screen shows your numbers without one.
Is there a subscription?
Not for your data: core ball and club data is free on Foresight+. Course play on Foresight Premier comes with a 30-day Foresight+ trial; after that it needs Foresight+ Silver ($199) plus a Course Pass ($295), from $494 a year. GSPro or E6 need Foresight+ Gold ($599 a year) plus their own licence, and Foresight’s LINK feature pairs it with the Bushnell Pro X3 rangefinder on the course.
Is the GC3S still available?
No. Foresight’s GC3S, the subscription version of the GC3, is discontinued (October 2026) and we no longer sell it. The GC3 is the same three-camera unit and the same data, without the subscription lock: it only needs a free online validation every 45 days.
How does the GC3 compare with a Garmin R50 or the Full Swing KIT?
The GC3 is the club-data and accuracy benchmark at home, with core data free on Foresight+. The R50 is simpler — it runs its own simulator with no PC. The KIT is radar-based, needs 3.05m (10ft) behind the ball and records 240fps swing video. The comparison table above is the honest version.
What exactly is in the box?
