Foresight Falcon Overhead Launch Monitor
The Foresight Falcon is a ceiling-mounted, photometric launch monitor that provides a completely clear hitting area. No device on the floor, no alignment concerns, no restrictions on club selection. The Falcon combines Foresight's proven photometric accuracy with the convenience of permanent overhead installation.
Overhead Mounting — Clear Hitting Area
Unlike floor-mounted launch monitors, the Falcon installs above the hitting zone looking down. This means there's nothing to trip over, nothing to realign between shots, and no device within reach of errant swings. For permanent simulator installations, this is the most seamless and professional setup available.
Foresight Photometric Accuracy
The Falcon uses the same photometric camera technology that powers the GC3 and GCQuad — high-speed cameras capturing ball and club data at impact. Overhead mounting gives it a unique vantage point for tracking both ball launch and club delivery from above.
Data Points Measured
- Ball speed — clubface energy transfer
- Launch angle — vertical trajectory
- Spin rate — total spin in RPM
- Carry distance — to first bounce
- Total distance — carry plus roll
- Club head speed — swing speed at impact
- Attack angle — vertical club approach
- Club path — swing direction
- Face angle — clubface alignment at impact
Ideal for Permanent Installations
The Foresight Falcon is designed for rooms, garages and commercial spaces where the simulator is a permanent fixture. Mount it once, calibrate once, and it's ready for every session. Popular in home golf simulator builds, commercial fitting studios, golf academies and entertainment venues.
Software Compatibility
Runs Foresight's Premier software with a 30-day Foresight+ trial; course play after that is from $494 a year (Foresight+ Silver $199 plus Course Pass $295, 35 courses). Connects to GSPro and E6 Connect with Foresight+ Gold ($599 a year), and to Awesome Golf.
Falcon vs GCQuad vs GC3
The Falcon, GCQuad and GC3 all use Foresight's photometric technology. The key difference is mounting: the Falcon is overhead-mounted (permanent installation), while the GCQuad and GC3 sit on the floor (portable). Choose the Falcon if your simulator is a permanent setup and you want the cleanest hitting area.
Installation Requirements
The Falcon requires ceiling mounting at a specific height above the hitting area. Foresight's quick start guide gives an ideal ceiling height of 2.9m to 3.2m (9.5 to 10.5ft). Professional installation is available — contact us for details.
