BenQ's dedicated golf-simulator projector — a 4,000-lumen short-throw laser unit with a Golf Mode picture tuned with course designers for natural fairways, greens and skies. The 0.499:1 short throw fills a simulator screen from well inside the bay, and the sealed laser engine runs for 20,000+ hours with no lamp swaps.

  • 4,000 ANSI lumens — a bright, vivid picture even in daylight rooms
  • Short throw 0.499:1 — fills a 2.3m-high golf screen from 2.04m (BenQ: move it back until the picture fills the screen's height)
  • Laser light source, 20,000-hour life — no lamp replacements
  • Golf Mode + HDR10/HLG for realistic course colour
  • Low input lag (16.7ms @ 1080p/120Hz) — instant shot feedback
  • 2D keystone and Screen Fill for fast, clean alignment
  • Sealed dust-resistant design — happy in a garage bay

Projector only — pair it with the SimSpace floor projector case or the enclosure-mounted projector arm for a tidy install.

The questions everyone asks

Can I watch TV, films and sport on it?

Yes. A projector is a display with HDMI inputs, so a set-top box, streaming stick or console shows on the same impact screen as the golf. Our guide Can your golf simulator projector double as a TV? covers what to check for your room.

How far back does it sit?

It is a 0.499:1 short-throw projector, so it fills a simulator screen from about 1.4m back, well inside the bay.

Floor case or enclosure arm?

The floor case keeps everything off the ceiling; the case bundle with the projector is £1,849. The enclosure-mounted projector arm (£299) fixes to the enclosure frame, so nothing is fixed to the room and the floor stays clear. In rooms with ceilings below 2.7m the arm puts the projector close to head height, so Tom will advise on placement.

Is it bright enough for a room with daylight?

It is a 4,000 ANSI lumen laser projector. If your room has a lot of ambient light, pair it with the SimSpace UltraMAX grey high-contrast screen.

Does the lamp need replacing?

No. It has a sealed laser light source rated for 20,000 hours, so there are no lamp changes.

Is it included in your simulator rooms?

Yes. The BenQ AH500ST with its mount is included in our SimSpace room packages, such as the Square Golf and Garmin R50 rooms. On the Foresight GCQuad room it is an optional extra.
