FlightScope Mevo Gen2 + SimSpace Enclosure: A Proper Home Simulator, Designed Around Your Room
This bundle pairs the FlightScope Mevo Gen2 radar launch monitor with a SimSpace enclosure and impact screen in six sizes. Because the Mevo Gen2 is a radar unit that sits behind the ball, room depth is the thing that decides whether it works in your space — so we've put the room-fit answer first, before the sales pitch. Most of our simulator customers have a quick WhatsApp chat with Tom before ordering, and we'd genuinely recommend you do the same: it's free, and it means the size that arrives is the right one.
Will It Fit Your Room?
The SimSpace enclosure comes in six sizes. The table below shows the real frame dimensions for each option (width × height × enclosure depth) — these match the size names in the picker above.
| Size | Width | Height (min ceiling) | Enclosure depth | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SIM 1 | 2.6m (8'6") | 2.5m (8'2") | 1.5m | Single garages, tight spare rooms |
| SIM 2 | 3m (9'10") | 2.5m (8'2") | 1.5m | Standard UK garages — our most popular |
| SIM 3 | 3.6m (11'10") | 2.5m (8'2") | 1.5m | Wider garages, garden rooms |
| SIM 4 | 4m (13'2") | 2.5m (8'2") | 1.5m | Double garages, generous rooms |
| SIM 5 | 3m (9'10") | 3m (9'10") | 3m | High-ceiling rooms, barns, outbuildings |
| SIM 6 | 4m (13'2") | 3m (9'10") | 3m | The full-scale build — widest and tallest |
The radar rule — read this before you measure
The Mevo Gen2 is a doppler radar. It sits on the floor roughly 2.4m behind the ball and needs about 2.4m of ball flight in front of the ball before the screen to read your shots properly. Add a small standoff behind the screen and behind the radar, and the honest answer is: allow around 5.5m of clear room depth for a comfortable setup. Around 5m can work as a tight squeeze — but that's exactly the kind of thing worth checking with us before you order.
What's the smallest room this works in?
With the SIM 1 enclosure: roughly 2.6m wide × 2.5m ceiling × 5m deep at an absolute minimum — 5.5m deep is comfortable. Width and ceiling are rarely the problem; depth is, because of the radar setback. If your room is under 5m deep, a camera-based system like our Square Golf bundle (the unit sits beside the ball, not behind it) is usually the better call — message Tom below and he'll tell you straight which one fits.

No projector? You can run the Mevo Gen2 to a TV, laptop or tablet on day one and add a projector later.
The Mevo Gen2 works indoors and outdoors, connects over WiFi/Bluetooth, and is compatible with simulator software including E6 Connect, GSPro and Awesome Golf — so you can play simulated rounds as well as practise with full data.
Which Spec Should You Pick?
Honest guidance: pick your enclosure size by your room, not your budget — the size table above is the boss. Then spend whatever's left in this order: mat first, projector second.
£2,498 – £2,900
The practice build
Enclosure size to suit your room + Standard Mat, no projector — run the display on a TV or laptop. All of the data, all of the practice value, lowest outlay. This is the right starting point for most people.
£2,800 – £3,200
The comfortable build
Step up to the Tee Turf Mat (the one to hit hundreds of balls a week off) and, if your room allows, a size up on the enclosure for driver confidence. Still TV-driven — projector can come later.
£3,700 – £5,037
The full simulator
Add a short-throw projector and play courses on the impact screen. The Optoma ZW350ST (+£1,199.99) is the value pick; the BenQ AH500ST (+£1,849) is golf-tuned with better colour and contrast. Only worth it if you'll play simulated rounds, not just practise.
FlightScope Mevo Gen2 Bundle — FAQs
What room size do I need for the Mevo Gen2 simulator bundle?
Because the Mevo Gen2 is a radar that sits about 2.4m behind the ball and needs roughly 2.4m of ball flight in front of it, allow around 5.5m of clear room depth (about 5m at a tight squeeze). Width and ceiling depend on the enclosure size you choose: the smallest (SIM 1) needs about 2.6m of width and a 2.5m ceiling. If you're unsure, send us your room dimensions on WhatsApp and we'll confirm the fit before you order.
Is a 2.5m ceiling enough to swing a driver?
SIM 1–4 enclosures stand 2.5m tall, so you need at least 2.5m of clear, flat ceiling. Most golfers up to around 6ft can swing a driver comfortably at 2.5m; taller golfers or steep swings may prefer the 3m-tall SIM 5 or SIM 6. Tell us your height and ceiling measurement and we'll give you a straight yes or no.
What are the ongoing software costs, and can software be refunded?
The Mevo Gen2 works out of the box with FlightScope's own app for practice and data. FlightScope also offers paid software tiers and third-party simulator software (E6 Connect, GSPro, Awesome Golf) with their own licence or subscription costs — we'll walk you through exactly what you do and don't need in the free consultation. One important honesty note: software licences are non-refundable once registered, while the launch monitor hardware itself is covered by a 30-day return window — so don't register software until you're sure you're keeping the unit.
Can this go in a garage?
Yes — garages are the most common home for this bundle. A standard single UK garage usually takes the SIM 1 or SIM 2 enclosure on width; the thing to check is depth, because of the ~2.4m radar setback behind the ball. Measure the clear internal depth (allowing for anything stored at the back) and aim for 5m+. Unheated garages are fine for the equipment; a phone photo of the space is all we need to design the layout for you.
Do I need a projector, or can I use a TV?
You don't need a projector on day one. The Mevo Gen2 connects to a TV, laptop or tablet, so you can hit into the screen and read your numbers from a display beside you. A short-throw projector (Optoma +£1,199.99 or BenQ +£1,849 in the picker) turns it into a full visual simulator where the course is on the impact screen in front of you — brilliant, but an upgrade you can add later.
How much is delivery and how long does it take?
Most configurations of this bundle ship free to mainland UK; a small number of top-spec configurations carry a modest delivery charge, which is always shown at checkout before you pay. Delivery is typically 2–4 working days from dispatch, from UK stock — no customs or import surprises.
Still weighing it up? Design it with Tom first.
A £2,500+ simulator shouldn't be a guess. Send your room measurements and Tom will confirm the enclosure size, check the radar setback, and put a written spec together for your exact space — and if the Mevo Gen2 isn't the right unit for your room, he'll tell you that too.
