Give your 5ft x 5ft golf hitting mat a rock-solid, free-draining foundation. These heavy-duty rubber bases stop your mat moving mid-swing, protect it from standing water and keep your strike surface flat and true — indoors or out in the garden, all year round.

Standard vs Pro — which base do I need?

	Standard Base	Pro Base
Size	5.2ft x 5.2ft (1.6m x 1.6m)	5.5ft x 5.5ft (1.7m x 1.7m)
Weight / thickness	25kg — durable everyday base	64kg — thicker, premium-duty
Drainage	Good — drainage holes throughout	Best — enhanced drainage for permanently outdoor setups
Mat compatibility	FORB & FORZA 5ft x 5ft mats only	Jigsaw design — fits all 5ft x 5ft driving range mats
Price	£149.99 — our most popular choice	£349.99 — the premium option
Best for	Most home setups on patio, deck or firm lawn	Permanent outdoor bays, wet sites, maximum durability

Why put your mat on a base?

Stability — the anti-skid rubber keeps your mat planted through driver swings
Drainage — holes throughout the base let rainwater escape instead of pooling under your mat
Mat protection — lifts the mat off wet ground, extending its life outdoors
A flat, true strike surface — evens out imperfect patios, decking and lawns

FAQs

Which mats do these fit? Both bases are built for 5ft x 5ft (1.5m x 1.5m) driving range mats. The Standard base fits FORB & FORZA mats; the Pro base’s jigsaw design fits all 5ft x 5ft mats.

What’s the actual difference between Standard and Pro? The Standard is the value pick most customers choose — good protection, durable, drains well. The Pro is thicker and heavier (64kg vs 25kg) with better drainage, so it lasts longer in permanently outdoor, wet or heavy-use setups.

Can I leave it outside all year? Yes — both are solid rubber and weatherproof. For a permanently outdoor bay on grass or a wet site, choose the Pro for its extra drainage and thickness.

Do I need a base with a golf cage bundle? If your mat sits on a patio or level deck, the Standard is usually enough. On grass, or for the most durable setup, go Pro — or ask our experts on WhatsApp for a free setup design consultation.
