Sizes are the width × height × depth of the enclosure itself. Plan the room at least 3.0m wide, 4.2m long (4.3m for SIM 5 and 6; 2.8m for the 1m-deep SIM 0) and 2.7m high (3m or more is ideal), with 30cm clear behind the screen and at least 8cm each side of the outer frame.

The trade-offA 3m-deep, 3m-high bay needs a ceiling of at least 3.1m and a room at least 4.3m long. If your ceiling is between 2.7m and 3.1m, the Sim 1 to Sim 4 bays are the ones to look at. If the room cannot be darkened, the UltraMAX grey screen holds contrast better than white.

The questions everyone asks

Will it fit my room?

The bay itself is 3 × 3 × 3m (width × height × depth). Plan on a room at least 3.26m wide, 4.3m long and with a 3.1m ceiling: that leaves 30cm clear behind the screen, at least 8cm each side of the outer frame, and room to stand and swing. Use the room check above, or send Tom your measurements for a free 3D design before you order.

What ceiling height do I need?

The bay is 3m high, with a 3.1m outer frame, so the ceiling has to be at least 3.1m. If your ceiling is lower, tell Tom your height and he will be straight with you about which clubs you can use.

What is included, and what else do I need?

The metal frame, the three-layer 4K Platinum impact screen and the velour side and ceiling panels. You can add a hitting mat in the options. To make it a simulator you add a launch monitor, a projector and a hitting mat. The room packages above include all of those in one price.

Which launch monitors does it work with?

All of the ones we sell, including the Garmin R50, Foresight GC3, Full Swing KIT, Square Golf and Uneekor. Camera units sit beside the ball. Radar units sit behind you: the Mevo Gen2 manual puts it 2.4m behind the ball and the Full Swing KIT manual 3.05m (10ft), so check your room length with Tom first.

White screen or grey screen?

This bay has the white 4K Platinum screen, which suits garages and rooms you can darken. If your room has ambient light, the UltraMAX enclosure has a grey high-contrast screen in the same sizes for about £200 more.

Can I buy the bay now and add the rest later?

Yes. Plenty of customers start with the enclosure and add the launch monitor and projector when they are ready. If you know you want the full room, the packages above carry a package saving in the price.
