    Product Overview

The full-flight club golf cage: at 3.8m tall this is the highest cage we sell — a 3m × 3m × 3.8m galvanised steel bay with genuine head-height clearance for high ball flights. Hit every club in the bag, wedges to driver, without feeling the roof. It is the closest thing to a real driving-range bay you can put in a garden, club or coaching facility — and it links side-by-side into 2 and 3 bay runs.

The linkscube XL Golf Club Cage is built from 48mm galvanised steel tubing with heavy-duty fixings for rust-resistant, year-round outdoor use. The fully enclosed high-tenacity 22mm golf netting absorbs full-speed drives, and an integrated baffle panel behind the hitting zone takes the repeated impact and minimises bounce-back, keeping every session safe and controlled.

Why the extra height matters: a standard 3m-tall cage contains your shots, but a lofted wedge climbs fast — taller players and steeper swings can feel closed in. At 3.8m (12.5ft) the XL gives your ball flight room to climb the way it would at the range, so you get honest feedback on strike and flight window with every club.

    Choose your setup:

    • Cage Only — the complete 3m × 3m × 3.8m (L × W × H) linkscube XL bay: 48mm galvanised steel frame, high-tenacity enclosure netting and integrated impact baffle
    • With Hitting Mat — adds a premium 5ft × 5ft golf hitting mat per bay for a complete stand-and-hit practice station
    • Rubber Mat Base — adds a heavy rubber base under the mat to lift it level and stop it creeping between shots
    • 1, 2 or 3 Bays — run cages side-by-side for a multi-bay club or coaching setup; each bay is a full 3m-wide hitting station

One bay makes a serious garden or garage-apron practice cage for a player who wants full-flight clearance. Two and three bay runs are how golf clubs, academies and coaches build a covered practice line — each player in their own fully enclosed 3m bay, all at genuine club height.

    • 3m × 3m × 3.8m (approx. 10ft × 10ft × 12.5ft) per bay [L × W × H] — the tallest cage in our range
    • 48mm galvanised steel tube frame with heavy-duty fixings — weatherproof and rust-resistant
    • High-tenacity 22mm golf netting, fully enclosed on all sides and roof
    • Integrated impact baffle behind the hitting zone minimises bounce-back
    • Multi-bay configurations share the practice line — order 2 or 3 bays for club and coaching setups
    • Optional 5ft × 5ft hitting mat and rubber mat base per bay complete each hitting station

Delivery: this is a heavy multi-box steel kit — each bay ships as its own frame and net set (mats and bases box separately). We’ll confirm your delivery details after ordering, and for 2–3 bay club orders we’re happy to talk through access and site prep first — message us on WhatsApp before you buy.

Planning where your cage will go? Read our guide: How to Build a Base for a Garden Golf Cage — grass, platform or sub-base. It covers starting on grass with U-pegs, the exact sub-base build we recommend (with real costs), anchoring on every surface, and finishing around the base with bark or artificial turf.

Why This Is The Last Practice Setup You'll Buy

Quality-focused practice, conveniently at home — the proven route to lower scores.

Practice That Shows Up On Your Scorecard Full swing, real balls
    01 / 05
    Why It Works

Practice That Shows Up On Your Scorecard

The golfers who improve aren't the ones with the best intentions — they're the ones who swing every day. Twenty quality balls after work beats a rushed weekly range trip, because consistency compounds. With a full-size bay ten steps from your back door, the friction between you and better golf disappears.

    • Groove your swing daily — no drive, no queue, no range fees
    • Real balls, full shots — not foam-ball compromises
    • Ten minutes a day builds more skill than one range session a week
Swing Out Of Your Shoes. Nothing Leaves The Cage. Integrated baffle + 22mm net
    02 / 05
    Driver-Rated Protection

Swing Out Of Your Shoes. Nothing Leaves The Cage.

Confidence is everything in practice. A full 22mm high-tenacity knotless enclosure is paired with an integrated baffle panel that absorbs high-speed strikes and drops the ball dead — no rebounds, no escapes, no held-back swings, even at full club and range height.

    • Integrated baffle panel — built for repeated high-speed impact
    • 22mm high-tenacity knotless enclosure keeps every shot contained
    • Full 3.8m height — high-ball clearance from wedge to driver
Will It Fall Over? Not At 3.8m Of Steel. 48mm steel · 3.8m tall
    03 / 05
    The Question Everyone Asks

Will It Fall Over? Not At 3.8m Of Steel.

Fair question — flimsy pop-up nets have earned the doubt. This isn't one of them. It's a heavy-gauge 48mm galvanised steel structure standing a full 3m × 3m × 3.8m per bay — range-height build, the same kind clubs and coaching facilities install. It stands freestanding and can be ground-anchored for permanent stability, no concrete needed, and galvanised steel means it lives outside through British weather all year — across 1, 2 or 3 bays.

    • 48mm galvanised steel — a permanent range-height frame, not a pop-up
    • Freestanding and ground-anchored — no concrete needed
    • Galvanised = no rust; built to live outside all year
    • 1, 2 or 3 bays side by side for clubs & coaching
Real Fairway Feel — Tee It Up Anywhere 35mm tour turf + pro base
    04 / 05
    Our Most Premium Mat

Real Fairway Feel — Tee It Up Anywhere

The Ultra Tee Turf is our most premium hitting surface — a dense 35mm tour-grade all-turf pile that plays like a pristine fairway, giving you the same consistent, course-like contact every time you swing. Its standout feature is unique tee placement: push a real wooden tee straight into the turf, anywhere on the mat, and hit driver, woods, irons and wedges just as you would out on the course. And because that deep pile cushions every strike, it is genuinely kind on your wrists and elbows — so you can practise session after session, right through the year.

    • Unique tee placement — no rubber tee, place a wooden tee anywhere for every shot type
    • Premium 35mm surface layer — simulates a real course, smooth and consistent
    • High-quality stability — 10mm EVA jigsaw rubber base grips grass, patio or decking
    • Rubber ball tray included — work a full bucket without bending down

Building your base — the three honest options

The cage stands on any of these. What changes is winter mud, stability, and how the cage sits against your garden. Here’s the straight version we give every customer on WhatsApp.

    Day one

    Straight onto grass

U-pegs into the lawn, hitting balls in about an hour. A perfectly good way to start — and the cage lifts onto a proper base later without any changes.

    • No groundwork cost
    • Reposition any time
    • Honest downside: a well-used bay gets muddy from late autumn
    Think twice

    Raised platform or deck

Solves the mud, but lifts the whole cage 30cm or more — the only option that makes a 3m cage taller against your fence or hedge line.

    • Good where ground falls away steeply
    • Timber & joist costs approach a proper sub-base
    • Worst choice if neighbour sightlines matter
    Our recommendation

    Prepared sub-base

Excavate, compacted MOT Type 2 stone, sharp sand blinding, finished flush with the lawn in artificial turf or bark. The frame beds ~75mm into the surface.

    • Drains freely — no winter mud, ever
    • Dead level and rock solid all year
    • Any local landscaper can build it — we supply a one-page spec to quote from

The honest bit: no base makes a 3m cage meaningfully lower — the job is drainage and never making it taller than it has to be. Not sure what suits your garden? Send a photo on WhatsApp and we’ll tell you straight — it’s the same free consultation hundreds of cage owners started with.

Standard vs Pro mat base — which do I need?

Both rubber bases lift your hitting mat level, stop it creeping mid-swing and let rain drain straight through. Here’s the honest difference — the same answer we give every customer on WhatsApp.

    Mat base questions, answered

What’s the real difference between the Standard and Pro base?

The Standard base is a great option and it’s what most customers go for, thanks to the lower price — it gives good protection and it’s quite durable. The Pro base has better drainage, is thicker, and therefore lasts even longer. It’s the premium option for permanently outdoor or heavy-use setups.

Do I need a base at all?

On a patio or level deck you can start without one. On grass — or anywhere that gets wet — a base keeps the mat flat, stable and off the damp ground, which extends the mat’s life considerably. It also stops the mat creeping when you’re hitting driver.

Can it stay outside all year?

Yes. Both bases are solid weatherproof rubber with drainage holes throughout, so rainwater escapes rather than pooling under your mat. For a permanently outdoor bay in a wet spot, the Pro’s extra thickness and drainage make it the better long-term choice.

Which mats do the bases fit?

Both are built for 5ft × 5ft (1.5m × 1.5m) driving range mats. The Standard base fits FORB & FORZA mats; the Pro base’s jigsaw design fits all 5ft × 5ft mats.

Still not sure? Send Tom a photo of where the cage is going on WhatsApp — you’ll get a straight answer on which base suits your ground. Bases are also available separately: FORB Rubber Golf Mat Bases.

Dimensions & The Space You Need

Each bay is 3m wide × 3m deep × 3.8m tall — the tallest cage we make, giving full high-ball-flight clearance for wedge through driver — and it can be configured as 1, 2 or 3 bays side by side for clubs and coaching. The hitting mat is 5ft × 5ft (1.52m square). Site it on any flat, stable surface and allow around a metre of clearance behind the impact end so the netting can flex. If you're not sure it fits, send Tom a photo of your space on WhatsApp and he'll tell you straight.

    What's In The Box

The cage: 48mm galvanised steel bars and corner joints, full 3m × 3m × 3.8m enclosure net in 22mm high-tenacity knotless netting, integrated baffle panel, ground anchors, tie twine, cable ties and step-by-step installation guide. Available as 1, 2 or 3 bays side by side.

With your chosen mat: 5ft × 5ft hitting mat, pro anti-skid rubber base and rubber ball tray. Nothing else to buy — balls and tees are all you need.

    Assembly & Anchoring

The 48mm galvanised steel frame goes together with corner joints using the included step-by-step guide, then stands freestanding and can be ground-anchored for permanent stability — no concrete needed. At 3.8m tall it gives full high-ball-flight clearance from wedge to driver, and can be built as 1, 2 or 3 bays side by side for clubs and coaching. The red tab on the netting marks the front so it can't go on backwards; attach the top corners first, then the sides.

    Useful Assembly Tools

Everyday tools most households already own — nothing specialist needed:

    • Spanner — for the frame fixings
    • Ratchet with sockets — speeds up the bolt work
    • Rubber mallet — seats the bars into the joints
    • Stepladder — for fitting the roof netting (the frame stands 3.8m tall)

Two people and about 90 minutes per bay and you're hitting balls.

    Weather & Care

Galvanised steel and weatherproof knotless twine are made to live outside all year round. Give the fixings a quick check periodically, and in severe storms or very high winds we recommend dropping the netting. Every component — nets, bars, joints — is available as a UK spare, so the cage is a buy-once purchase you can maintain forever.

    Delivery, Returns & Warranty

Delivery — £30 standard charge (bulky item): your bundle is delivered by DX, typically dispatched the same day you order and delivered within 3–5 working days, UK mainland. Most orders arrive together, though the cage and mat can occasionally arrive as separate consignments a day apart. We share your tracking details as soon as they're available, so you always know where your delivery is.

Northern Ireland & Scottish Highlands: message us before ordering and we'll confirm options. Returns & warranty: 30-day returns and a 2-year warranty, backed by our UK team — call, WhatsApp or email and you'll speak to a person who knows the product.
